Methods of Donations
Bequests: Once in a while Missouri Valley Habitat for Humanity is honored to be the recipient of a bequest from an estate. These gifts allow us to continue building homes for families in need. One remarkable bequest came from Ms. Audrey Mehlhouse who donated $10,816. to our affiliate in 2006. The money made it possible to complete the home that will always be known as “Audrey’s House”. Audrey lived by these words, “Live simply so others may simply live”. Her final gift continues to give blessings to the wonderful family who now enjoy a better life because of her benevolence.
Cash Donations:
The average cost of each home is $100,000.
Time:
Currently, we are recruiting members of this community to fill vacant positions to serve as board members.
